Accessibility Statement

Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) is committed to making its DATEXIS research group website accessible, in accordance with the Berlin Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (Landesgleichberechtigungsgesetz) and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0).
This statement applies to the website datexis.com and its subpages.

Conformance status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, due to the exceptions listed below.

Assessment method

This statement is based on a self-assessment, initially conducted on 2026-08-26 (automated testing via axe-core/pa11y across representative pages, plus manual review of the site’s custom interactive components and source code, including a manual screen-reader pass).

Non-accessible content

The following area was found not to conform to WCAG 2.1 AA at the time of assessment and remains open: Color contrast (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)): Several text/background color combinations fall below the required 4.5:1 (normal text) or 3:1 (large text) ratio, including the site header’s “Open Science” button, several statistic/label callouts on the Education, Services, and Impact & Ventures pages, secondary text on the Services partner list, and an in-page navigation link on the People page. Measured ratios range from 2.7:1 to 3.61:1 against a 4.5:1 requirement.

Content excluded from the scope of this statement

Third-party student documents: PDF files linked from the Education page — thesis presentations, slide decks, and archived student theses, the large majority hosted externally on prof.bht-berlin.de — are authored and controlled by individual students, not by DATEXIS or BHT as the site operator, and are excluded from this statement’s scope on that basis. One file hosted on this domain, a thesis-structure template (Gliederung_Abschlussarbeit.pdf), has not been assessed for accessibility.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 2026-08-26 and last reviewed on 2026-08-28.
